President and Owner, William Helinski, has been with Automec, Inc. since 2013. Bill is a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston with a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology. He also holds an MBA Degree from Southern New Hampshire University.
Bill began his career with Automec as the Sales and Marketing Manager and after 5 years, he became a company shareholder. In June of 2020, Bill was promoted to President. Bill resides in Andover, MA, with his wife Catherine and their two dogs, Chip and Willow.
He states, “After beginning my career at Automec, I knew this was a company I’d be invested in for the long-term. Helping to navigate Automec’s future is something I wake up every day excited for.” When Bill is not helping the business, you can find him spending time with his family, training in CrossFit, playing ice hockey, or riding his motorcycle.
Linda Jones-CFO & Owner
Chief Financial Officer and Owner of Automec, Inc. in Waltham, MA. Linda has been with Automec since 1991. Linda attended Colby College in Waterville, Maine, and earned a Bachelors Degree in Business/Mathematics, Linda has worked in Finance for most of her life.
A Lexington, MA native, she now resides in Concord, MA with her husband and two teenagers. She keeps busy outside of work raising her children and volunteering within the Concord community and school system . Linda wears many hats at Automec, Inc., handling CFO duties, Operations, and Human Resources.
With a small team of about 20 employees, Linda adds, “Working for a small family business founded in 1969 by my father has been very rewarding. Automec has overcome the challenges that come with running a business in this economy, and has continued to thrive for 50 years.”
The team at Automec continues to grow its client base, and steadily grow its internal team.
Doug Flynn-Customer Service Manager
Customer Service Manager, Doug Flynn has been with Automec since August 2000. Prior to joining the Automec team Doug had his own business, F&F Electronics from 1987-2000.
Doug enjoys golfing at his summer place at Point Sebago Resort on Sebago Lake in Maine. Doug is married with two adult kids. His son Chris Flynn worked as the Shipping Manager/Buyer at Automec until the end of 2018. Doug is the first individual you will most likely speak to if you have a question on any of Automec’s gauging systems, handling customer needs and inquiries from technical support to repairs and upgrades.
Doug says, “It’s a pleasure being able to solve customer problems over the phone.”
