The CoastOne Bull Series Large Electric Press Brakes are known for their precision and efficiency in metal bending and forming. These machines are all electric (no belt/pulley system), servo-driven and built to run for decades in the most demanding environments. Thanks to the simple drive system, the average power consumption of the Bull Series is only 1-3kW. The absence of a hydraulic system eliminates expensive hydraulic fluid changes, spare parts, valves and maintenance expenses, common to hydraulic press brakes.
A Large Electric Press Brake with a Small Footprint
The Bull Series Large Electric Press Brakes use a closed O-frame construction, designed for high tonnage press brakes. Unlike C-frames, O-frames have less vertical and horizontal deflecting. That means a stronger frame to support the increased forces applied by stronger motors and mechanical advantages in the Bull Series machines.
Compared to outdated hydraulic systems, CoastOne’s environmentally-friendly servo technology requires minimal maintenance and combined with our ball screw system, delivers superior power and accuracy.
Power without Sacrificing Accuracy
A high precision O-frame with tailor-made ball screws makes the Bull Series Large Electric Press Brakes a superior solution for high accuracy bending works. Our large machines utilize up to six independent ball screws and six servo motors. This allows operators to bend anywhere across the bed (unlike competitors that have to bend in the middle of their machines).
It also automatically varies the force on each screw, offering “automatic crowning” from the ram, rather than from under the die, like most competitors. We monitor ram position using a rotary encoder on each servo motor. This gives direct positioning and the most accurate feedback.
Most competitive machines monitor the ram position using linear encoders, which are mounted to the side-frames of the machine. This means that when the frame is deflecting, the accuracy of the measurement of the ram can be affected.
